Liberty ammo live fire results for the 4.6!
On Wednesday September 8th Liberty Ammunition held a live fire demonstration for members of a United States Special Military group. The live fire demonstration was to present and test our Liberty T3 4.6 close combat round for ammunition and arms experts. Military specialists have previously expressed their concerns with the competitions’ 4.6 as an effective combat round, but oh did Liberty prove them wrong!
Visiting specialist believed that due to the competitions’ 4.6 being a low weight bullet and low velocity it would not be able to penetrate a solid armor plate. After one test shot into a solid armor plate attached to a gelatin block Liberty not only penetrated the plate but also penetrated the gelatin block. This test proved that Liberty’s 4.6 can, and will be an effective close combat round for Special Forces.
After several Liberty 4.6 test shots all present persons were impressed by the outstanding performance of the round. When fired into a FBI grade gelatin block the Liberty 4.6 showed successful penetration, fragmentation (5 pieces large enough to cause severe bleeding), stopping power, and produced wound cavity larger than 7 inches. The Liberty 4.6 was also able to penetrate level IIIA armor with penetration and fragmentation into the block. After gelatin block testing velocities were measured of the Liberty 4.6 against the top competitors 4.6 round. Without a doubt Liberty’s 4.6 tested at much higher velocities.
Due to such successful Liberty 4.6 results officials also requested a demonstration of the Halo Point 9mm handgun round. The results left officials speechless. The impact of the Halo Point 9mm on level IIIA cannot be accomplished by the leading competitor rounds available to military and law enforcement today.
After a long day on the range Liberty members cannot be more proud of our technology and performance! Take a look at some of the pictures from the live fire and check out our Facebook page to see more.

Testing results for the 9mm Civilian Round
Last week PJ Marx, Liberty's Chief of Research and Development, took out our new 9mm Civilian handgun rounds and tested their power on some gelatin blocks. Here are some pictures!
Gelatin blocks are used to replicate the impacts that ammunition has on human tissue. The shots were taken from 10 ft with our 50 gr 9mm which resulted in 12 inch penetration and fragmented into 7 pieces. The 9mm rounds reached velocities greater than 1900 feet per second.
